You can buy them as a set along with main bedding and quilts or if you already have them and just need the pillow set, you can still find huge varieties of decorative pillows which can match your existing bedroom interior. Online shopping is by far the most convenient and easiest way to buy anything of your choice. You get so many choices from the gigantic selection which might even exhaust you of discovering better and better.
Selecting the right decorative bed pillows depends on many factors. It is always safe to start with the colors. The color you choose should compliment the interior of the bedroom. Couple of the most popular colors are blue decorative pillows and black decorative pillows. Like color the fabric of the pillow also should match or go well with the rest of the bedding. For example you cannot expect a micro fabric pillow to match your silk bed covers. Styles and designs can be found in abundance as well. Embroidered pillow cases are selling like real hot cakes in the market. They are very versatile, suitable for any theme of your bedroom.
Dress up your bed with attractive pillowcase, decorative pillows and also throw pillows. But make sure that they do no clutter your bed making it look more like a pillow holder rather than a bed.

Luxury Bedroom Decor Tips
You don't have to be a design fundi to turn your bedroom into a comfortable, yet stylish retreat. By simply adding a couple of antiques or custom-made handcrafted furniture, your bedroom can evolve into something quite special.
Classic, rare wood antiques are not only visually appealing they are texturally exciting as well. They imbue the space with rich timelessness and connect us to a glorious past when furniture was carefully and painstakingly handcrafted to create a work of art.
Shabby Chic
Design self-contained spaces which resonate with the past. Mix and match antique tables and chairs with contemporary handmade pieces and genuine leather home accessories. Complement the space with old family photographs, printed in sepia and treasured collectibles from all over the world and you'll have created the popular 'shabby chic' style.
Minimalist
If you're a minimalist and are seduced by space reduced to its essential elements, then simply select furniture and accessories which echo the definitive Japanese traditional design. Contemporary, handcrafted furniture, with strong clean lines, will enhance the simplicity. Metro nestling tables in ebony or Shikari side tables with matching folding benches in polished Burmese teak are just the thing.
Art Deco
If the elegant, decorative glamour of art deco is your chosen style, then a made-to-order zebra skin ottoman will be the perfect focal point. Add a Portobello multi mirror, with antiqued panels, a two-tier coffee table made from ebony with an inlay of faux shagreen and throw in a duo of tub chairs, covered in linen 'novasuede'. Personalise the room with a collection of colourful prints, snugly showcased in a large Havana leather triple hanging frame.
Country
If the comfortable, casually elegant country style is what you're after, then select sturdy, practical furniture and dress the room in colourful textiles and fanciful accessories. Go for a hardwood square leg table and comfortable leather club chairs and then bring in the robust reds, lavenders, aubergines and deep azure blues with throws and cushions.
Unique Storage Furniture
Adequate and attractive storage space is always an essential addition to any style of bedroom. Fortunately storage space need not be confined to traditional shelving and cupboards. We've listed a few suggestions for alternative, yet stylish, storage:
Beautifully designed and finished shikari wall shelves with drawers, designed to lean against a wall.
Havana leather 3 drawer side tables comprising solid wooden frames covered in leather with a unique antique finish.
Carefully restored antique camphor 'treasure' chests.
Metro storage ottomans, with drawers on the side, made from reclaimed Burmese teak and upholstered in velvet.

Shoes Under Review - Is Shoes Under Actually Effective?
Does the sight of your wardrobe overwhelm you? Do rows after rows of shoes stashed under the bed or in a corner of the closet send shivers down your spine? Now, it might sound like a trivial problem but space crunch is major hassle. If your don't have enough storage space for your shoes, you will end up stacking them upon each other. But Shoes Under is not meant just for shoes. It can easily accommodate other small items as well. Pros and Cons of a Large Wall Mirror
There are several advantages attached to large wall mirrors and this is demonstrated in the way they are used. Do you have problems with adequately managing space in your home? Maybe your dining room or living room, or even your bedroom is rather small and you have been trying to figure out a method of making it bigger. A simple solution is to get a large wall mirror to make the room appear larger. All you need to do is get a couple that can be fixed to walls facing each other and abracadabra, your room looks bigger. Just like magic!
Another benefit is in the illumination of gloomy areas in the home. A guaranteed way of economically lightening up your home can be achieved by placing large wall mirrors in such places. These mirrors can be positioned in such a way that they are made to reflect the natural light, thus brightening up your home. Furthermore, you can also make your wall mirror reflect a floor lamp or other light sources, enhancing the brilliance of your home in a magical way.
You know those immense mirrors that loom at you, making your image so lifelike that you can almost swear you have been doubled? These are usually found in trendy clothing stores right? Who says you cannot replicate this in your home? Yes, you can create this in your home by getting a large wall mirror for your bedroom. Fix it in the best place and you can spend as much time as you want, trying out as many dresses as you like!
A fourth advantage is the ease with which you can introduce a large wall mirror into your home and have it play a complementary role to your home decor. Whatever the theme style of your home, there is a mirror to fit in.
Disadvantages of large wall mirrors? Well the most obvious one is the size! It can be tedious transporting them to your home but thankfully, there are shops that offer delivery services. Another one is the cleaning; this takes more time than the average small sized mirror. A third one is the cost. However the disadvantages are rather small sacrifices to make and the benefits far outweigh them.

How to Decorate Your Home With Style
Let's first examine the living room. Your living room is the centerpiece of your home and is best utilized as a conversational area. With this in mind, you want to have ample seating. I recommend starting with a black leather couch. The color black is neutral and goes with almost any color scheme. Leather sets off a modern feel and provides comfort to give your room a relaxing feel.
If you have a low traffic home which means no little children or pets, then a medium shag, champagne carpet will match up with your leather seating perfectly. Cap the area off with two antique glass end tables on the sides of the couch along with a glass or mirrored coffee table in front.
For the home office, your biggest asset is a large l-desk computer work station. The right computer desk will give you plenty of work area and storage to help keep the area around your station clear of clutter. I recommend going with an ergonomic office chair so that your work can be done in the most comfort possible.
You should also have a room dedicated to entertainment. This room is where you utilize the HD flat screen TV by strategically posting it on the wall. This saves a lot of space by taking a bulky entertainment center out of the equation.
If you value sunlight and plant life, design a room that you won't mind having windows in. The kitchen is the perfect section for vibrant energy. A white tile floor will help maintain brightness and stay easy to clean. I also recommend marble countertops for added style.
The bedroom should be your place of relaxation but stylish decor will contribute to the aesthetics and atmosphere. If you like to unwind before falling asleep, another TV is in order. Also, I suggest a mirrored nightstand and dresser for both storage and style.
Mirrored furniture is simply decorative furniture made of mirrors. The beauty of this style is it takes on its environment and matches any pieces or material within the area. Besides the complementary aspect, a mirrored piece is easy on the eye even by itself.
While you're in the bedroom, don't forget to dress up your bed. Down bedding is an excellent choice because of it's elegance and comfort. Considered among the most soft and comfortable types of bedding, down comforters, pillows, and blankets are usually comprised with smooth white thread.

Have you ever felt so uncomfortable in bed because of what you wore? Have you ever felt the need to find some decent sleepwear? Well, whether or not you admit it, clothes have something to do with the comfort level we receive when we go to sleep. If we wear something too thick, it will make us feel hot, while wearing something too thin will give you chills, literally.
If you're having trouble picking out the best apparel to wear during bedtime, you can use this list. Compared to the past, you can now find different types of sleepwear based on your tastes and preferences.
Pajamas - This twosome has always been the most common choice of women everywhere, especially the plus size ones. This is because, sets of PJs come in different sizes and designs. Many times, these come in the classic button down long sleeve shirts with long pants, while there are those which come in regular cotton t-shirts with shorts or pants.
Sleepshirts - Just as the name suggests, these are t-shirts which are built for sleeping. Nonetheless, these are similar to nightgowns because of their length. These come in different fabrics, designs and styles. These are actually the main choices for women who are conservative and choose comfort over style.
Nightgowns - If you feel a bit daring or feel that you want to dress to impress in the bedroom, these are certainly perfect for you. Nightgowns come in different designs and lengths and are often made of material such as silk and satin. Wearing this can make any woman feel comfortable and at the same time sexy.

How to Set Up the Perfect Bedroom
We all know the statistics of how much of our lives we spend asleep, but the curious fact can be taken one step further. If we dress and prepare for our day -- as well as end our day there -- what percentage of our lives is spent in the bedroom? You would have to guess somewhere close to 40% overall, so it's obvious that setting up a bedroom right is an essential part of your interior design. Whether big or small, hard wood-floored or carpeted, the bedroom must be handled with care. Here are the five big things to do in order to set up a perfect bedroom.
1. Get the bed right. Obviously, without the proper bed any planning you make in the bedroom will be nullified. Make sure it is up-to-date and allows you to sleep like royalty. Not only will your energy be affected by a poor sleep cycle: your entire demeanor can be damaged if you're not sleeping soundly. Spend the majority of your budget on the mattress, with a balance between firmness and softness. The box spring, or foundation, is the place where the impact will be absorbed. Don't undermine a great bed without the right foundation. As for placement, give access to sunlight but don't drown yourself in it, unless you can block it out with blinds or curtains.
2. Identify and maximize storage space. If you have been blessed with many large closets, the majority of your bedroom furniture can serve a decorative purpose. However, if you need to store clothing, you'll have to find the right pieces for space and design. A chest of draws with a mirror above it can serve as an ideal place for getting ready. An armoire will afford the luxury of hanging clothes where space in the closet ran out. Coordinating your pieces is essential.
3. Make sure your desk is usable. There is nothing like getting work done on a desk in the privacy of your own bedroom. Whether talking on the phone, sending an email, or just thinking things through, the desk is one of the most intimate places when it comes to self-reflection. If your windows overlook a busy street, move the desk back to keep that solid frame of mind.
4. Keep a chair and table space. No matter how small your bedroom may be the presence of a table and chair makes a huge difference. These pieces might have to be small, but it's not something to overlook. Within the bedroom, there is going to be a desk and a bed to do your reading and thinking. They represent two extremes, one too rigid in some situations, the other too relaxed. With a cozy chair and side table, you will make your bedroom the ultimate comfort zone.
5. Get the lighting right. Don't forget about lighting. It's a room in which a dimmer switch is a must. Also, make sure turning off the lights at the end of the night is not a chore. You don't have to clap your hands; just put the switch within reach of your bed.

Going Green With Bedroom Furniture
If you are one of many who has realized you are leaving a little bigger carbon footprint than you would like to be, you may be working on changing a few of your habits to try and become a little more environmentally friendly. While in the kitchen this is a relatively easy thing to do, with full lines of eco friendly kitchen supplies. When it comes time to be greener in the bedroom, you may not be sure where to start. Here's a little help.
Prepping the Room
If you are going to do a top to bottom renovation of your bedroom you may want to start by changing the color of your walls or even changing out the curtains. No problem. Let's start with the paint. Whether you knew it or not, there are paints that are a little more green than the normal ones. When you are shopping, look for labels that have no VOC chemicals, or at least low amounts. When it comes to curtains, look for green materials such as cotton or hemp, which are both renewable resources.
Making the Bed
Ready to dress up the bed? You can do this and still stick with your green styling! There are more and more organic fabrics on the market these days. For starters, there are now full lines of organic cotton linens. While it used to be that you had to really search for organics, even the discount department stores have them now-a-days. Additionally, look for pillows that are made of nice natural materials like hulls. Worried about that stuffing in your pillows? Look for pillows with recycled polyester fill
Recycled Furniture
The first thing you should think about as you decorate your bedroom is how little you could use in new resources. There are so many antique and vintage shops out there, overflowing with beautiful pieces of furniture that still have plenty of life in them. You never know what you will find in these stores. Enjoy a walk down memory lane in vintage and antique shops and keep an eye out for furniture pieces that will complete your bedroom suite.
Add Real Green
While you are greening up your room, why not bring real green into your space by putting a plant or two in the bedroom? There are a couple of reasons you may want a plant or two in your room. First there is nothing like having a little bit of nature in your home to brighten things up and remind you why it is so important to take care of the planet. Additionally, remember, plants return oxygen to the air and suck out the carbon dioxide that you are breathing out. It's nice to have a breath of fresh air.
Energy efficient bulbs
The final thing you should think about is how you are lighting your bedroom. Look at what is in your fixtures and see if you can do better. There are all sorts of energy efficient bulbs out there to choose from.

The Different Types of Platform Beds
Platform beds are ideal for people who want their bedroom to have a minimalist and simple look. The appeal of this type of bed lies mainly on its simple lines, sleek design, and low-profile sleeping surface. There are some beds with base consisting of flat, raised, horizontal, hard surface meant to support only the mattress but platform beds provide compact and firm cushioning, and with the help of slats, mattress foundation or box spring is no longer needed. Another advantage of using a platform bed is the space that comes beneath the platform. This space can be used as storage and this is one of the reasons why the popularity of platform beds has been growing recently.
Platform beds come in different varieties. These include those in wood, leather, or metal. Wooden platform beds come in exclusive, fantastic, and exclusive Italian designs from European leaders for sophisticated, high-end, and contemporary furnishing. Innovative range in the transitional furniture with different products manufactured with top quality and highest standard is also available. These are made of 100% kiln dried veneers and tropical hardwoods for beds to ensure longevity and strength. A wooden platform bed provides the bedroom with a simple look with a feeling of being close to the nature. Its low physical profile matches other low-set furniture including dresses, low coffee tables, as well as other bedroom furnishings well.
Metal platform beds also have great offerings. Aside from being strong and sturdy, this type requires less maintenance, no more re-staining or repainting. This type is made of sheet or tubular steel. For aesthetic effect, metal platform beds can come with headboards and footboards.
Modern beds such as those made of leather that come in sleek shapes can greatly compliment almost any décor, whether it's traditional, transitional, or contemporary. Truly, simplicity can make a strong statement with an elegant leather platform bed.
The ever popular King or Queen size offer a very practical solution with a more modern design. These allow you to have a bigger chunk of savings since you no longer need a box spring. Their slatted platform frames also provide a center support in order to prevent sagging.
Platform beds are available in various sized including Full, Twin King, Queen, and Cal King. In the US, Twin is also called Single, Full is also called Double, King is also called Eastern King, Queen is also called the Queen-size and Cal King size beds are exclusively made for tall people, typically taller and wider than the Queen size bed but not as big as the King size.

3 Step Guide For Decorating a Room
Your home should always say something about you and your family. It is one of the most important statements that you will make, just as the way you dress and the way you come across are ways of communicating.
In the same way as the overall effect of your house or apartment is a reflection of you, your aspirations, your likes and dislikes, each room in your home will be a declaration of something about the family that lives there and about the use that room is planned to provide.
That is why home decor is so important.
It could be your bedroom or the living room It could also be your dinning room or your library. The guest room, the kid's room, the kitchen and even the bathrooms. The house or apartment can be big or small. It can be home to one or more people.
No matter which room it is, the room in question will always have a specific reason for being, and this means that when decorating that particular room you should consider:
Step 1:
Be consistent: Consistency with the room's use, for a example in a dinning room you will need tables and chairs; in a bedroom- a bed, a night table and so on. That is the first part, the other is that the furniture has to combine well together. This does not necessarily mean that everything has to be part of the same pattern but it does mean being consistent with the style you want. There can be, and probably will be, times when you have individual pieces of furniture or even one specific one that you just can't live without. So even if it is hard to mix styles you can integrate colors. Also a great thing about some rules is that you can break them. In this case it can mean that the table or armchair that you want can be located in the room to stand out amongst everything else.
In short go for consistency but be open to inspiration.
Step 2:
Colors: If you look around you will notice that there is color everywhere and the colors you see will have different shades of blue or green or browns as the case may be. This is one of the secrets. Choose a range of colors and combine the shades or tonalities. When choosing strong colors (the primary colors) don't over do it. Use the color sparingly and combine it with lighter tones and this will make that strong color stand out. Light colored ceilings make the room look larger. Strong colors on the walls will make the room look smaller. Strong wall colors should be combined with light colored carpet or hard flooring.
The color range you have in your room is just as important as the furniture you place there - and you do have a wide range of styles, picture, decorative items, rugs and pieces of furniture to play around with. Try and combine colors that go together. Complementary colors would be those that don't clash together, and you can easily find these (there are too many options to list)with a quick search on the web. The important thing is not the brightness, or the strength of the color. What you need to focus on is the color tone that will drive the look of the room.
Step 3:
Draw A Simple Blue Print: This third step is a very simple one but many people ignore it or find it unnecessary. Draw a map of the room on a grid sheet making sure you keep to scale. Cut blocks representing the larger pieces of furniture and place them onto the drawn room. You can then move them easily around keeping in mind doorway and circulation areas, It is as simple as that.
